Time crystals are phases of matter that, unlike conventional crystals with spatial periodicity, exhibit periodic structures in time. In a broader context, research on time crystals is interdisciplinary and is connected to the studies of time-varying media and nonequilibrium matter, time lattices and emergent phenomena in complex systems and their application in data processing, computing and sensing.

The aim of Time Crystals 2027 is to bring together leading researchers from atomic and condensed matter physics, optics and photonics, complex dynamics and related areas to exchange ideas, present recent advances, and identify new directions for this rapidly developing field.

Beyond QUANTUM AND CLASSICAL TIME CRYSTALS and their application – the central topic of the meeting – this year we also encourage submissions on the following topics related to the broader agenda of time-varying phenomena:

• Long-lived, non-equilibrium (prethermal) states of matter in driven systems
• Floquet engineering in quantum physics and materials
• Dynamics of active matter converting energy into work
• Nonreciprocal interactions in dynamic systems and nonreciprocal phase transitions
• Self-organised photonic systems and nonequilibrium materials

The conference will be held at the Grand Hotel San Michele, Località Bosco 8/9, 87022 Cetraro (CS), Italy. Participants are expected to arrive on 31 July 2027 and depart on 5 August 2027.

Registration and abstract submission will open in February 2027. The number of participants will be limited to 100.
